SEMA 2026 Car and UTV Audio Preview: What to Watch in Las Vegas

The SEMA Show, the aftermarket car industry’s biggest event, runs from 3 to 6 November at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Car audio has been quiet this autumn, so SEMA is where we expect the next wave of subwoofers, amps and powersports systems. Here’s what brands have announced so far.

The short version

  • SEMA 2026 runs 3–6 November in Las Vegas.
  • AudioControl will show its first 15-inch subwoofer (2,000 W RMS, Q1 2027) in a 62-speaker VW ID. Buzz.
  • Stinger and UTV Stereo are bringing UTV builds and the HORIZON XTR dash display, with ordering from Q4 2026.
  • DS18 is showing three builds and its PROJECT360 speakers with a replaceable cone module.

Stinger and AudioControl (booth 10673, North Hall)

The Stinger family of brands has the busiest audio lineup announced so far. AudioControl’s “EPIC BUZZ” ID. Buzz debuts the new EPIC X5 subwoofers, including a 15-inch model rated at 2,000 W RMS. We covered that in our EPIC X5 news post.

Stinger is also bringing a Jeep Gladiator with a prototype HORIZON12 multi-function display for 2024–2027 Wrangler (JL) and Gladiator (JT) models, plus a Polaris RZR Pro R built with Throtl. That one uses a UTV Stereo dual-battery kit and a “Stage 6” sound system.

UTV Stereo and the HORIZON XTR (booth 55257, West Hall)

Powersports audio keeps growing, and UTV Stereo is showing three builds: a Polaris RZR Pro S, a Polaris Xpedition and a Can-Am Maverick R. Each has a complete UTV Stereo system and a battery expansion kit. The Xpedition’s system uses four amplifiers and six speakers.

The new hardware is the HORIZON XTR, a 10.1-inch dash display for select Polaris and Can-Am models. It’s waterproof and dustproof to IP66, works with gloves, and connects to the vehicle’s CAN bus. For audio, it has a 15-band EQ with six presets per source, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD Radio and SiriusXM. Stinger says ordering opens in Q4 2026; it hasn’t announced a price.

DS18 (booth 10120)

DS18 is bringing three custom builds, including a Hot Wheels Volkswagen “Kool Kombi”, and an 8,000-watt system from DS18 Mexico. It’s also giving its PROJECT360 mid-high speakers their first SEMA appearance. Their patent-pending design lets you rotate and remove the cone module to replace a damaged voice coil, which is a sensible idea for anyone who runs their system hard.

What to watch for

  • Electrical upgrades. Batteries and power kits feature in almost every build. If you’re planning a big system, start with the power side; our amp wire and fuse calculator is a good first step.
  • Who fills Sony’s gap. With Sony leaving aftermarket car audio at the end of 2026 (see what it means), expect rivals to push head units and integration.
  • Factory-system integration. Displays like the HORIZON series show where the market is going: keeping the factory look while upgrading the sound. See adding a sub to a factory stereo.

Our take

So far this looks like a show of big demo vehicles and powersports gear rather than a flood of new subwoofers, but announcements usually pick up in the final week. We’ll cover the subs and amps that matter once the doors open.
