TCL used IFA in Berlin to launch its 2026 soundbar range, and the headline is a deeper partnership with Bang & Olufsen, which tuned four of the new models. For bass fans the interesting one is the Q85K, whose wireless subwoofer uses two 7-inch drivers in a push-push layout, an approach usually found on pricier subs.
- Q95K: flagship 11.1.4 system with 22 drivers, wireless sub and two wireless rears. Europe only at launch.
- Q85K: 7.1.2 bar with a wireless sub using two opposed 7-inch drivers. Launched at £749 in the UK and now listed on Amazon in the US.
- Q75K: 7.1.2 all-in-one bar with built-in bass, no separate sub.
- A65K: budget 3.1.2 with a slim wireless sub, £249.
- All four were tuned by Bang & Olufsen.

Why the Q85K’s subwoofer is interesting
Most soundbar subs use a single driver in a small ported box. The Q85K’s sub mounts two 7-inch drivers facing in opposite directions (push-push). As they move in and out together, their mechanical forces cancel, which reduces cabinet vibration and rattles and lets a compact box play cleaner at volume. It’s the same principle behind the Sonos Sub 4 and several high-end subs. It doesn’t magically add deep extension, but it’s a sign that soundbar subs are getting more serious engineering.
Can you buy them in the US?
At IFA, Forbes reported that TCL hadn’t confirmed US availability for the 2026 range. Since then, the Q85K has appeared on Amazon US. TCL’s previous-generation Q85H also remains on sale and, notably, is a 7.1.4 system with more height channels than the new Q85K, so compare the two carefully rather than assuming newer is better for your room.
Soundbar sub or a “real” subwoofer?
As with most brand-matched soundbar subs, you can’t swap the TCL sub for a third-party wired sub. If deep bass is your priority and you’re starting from scratch, a compact AV receiver with speakers and a conventional sub still gives you more flexibility. Our guide to adding a subwoofer to a soundbar explains the options, and this guide covers placement.
Our take
Bang & Olufsen tuning and push-push subs make TCL’s range more interesting than its usual value pitch. The A65K’s low price and the Q85K’s sub design are the standouts. We’ll be watching for independent measurements of how deep that Q85K sub really goes.
